Kenneth Motolenich-Salas

Kenneth (Ken) Motolenich-Salas is a registered patent attorney (Reg. No. 60,354) and an intellectual property lawyer admitted to practice law in Arizona and the District of Columbia. Ken has lived and visited around the world and across the United States. After having earned his Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering (Summa Cum Laude, University of Notre Dame, 1995) and Master of Engineering in Civil and Environmental Engineering (Summa Cum Laude, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, 1997), Ken served his country as an officer in the United States Navy. While in the Navy, Ken served as Program Manager for Steam Generator Maintenance for the Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program (“Naval Reactors”), a joint Department of the Navy-Department of Energy interdepartmental agency after studying at the Bettis Reactor Engineering School and finishing first in his class. After serving his country, Ken worked as a Senior Engineer at ExxonMobil Research and Engineering in Fairfax, Virginia where he provided environmental and oil spill response solutions to corporate affiliates worldwide. Ken went back to school to earn his JD from George Mason University School of Law (Magna Cum Laude, 2007).

Ken started his legal career with large, international law firms in Washington, DC and Phoenix, Arizona. Thereafter, Ken took his experience to an intellectual property boutique law firm in Scottsdale, Arizona and then on to a mid-sized general practice firm in Phoenix, Arizona. After garnering experience in these environments where he developed highly-tuned skills in all areas of intellectual property law counseling, transactional work, and litigation, Ken has focused on providing Legal Solutions for Innovators™, melding big-firm training and service with the customer-centric approach one expects from a boutique IP firm.

Ken is bilingual, having native-level verbal, written, and reading proficiency which he uses frequently on behalf of his Spanish-speaking clients. Ken is active in his community and is a member of the Arizona Technology Council, Los Abogados, the Hispanic National Bar Association, and the Arizona Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. He is also on the board for the Arizona Myeloma Network.
