We also ensure negotiating and drafting all types of industrial and intellectual property contracts. We are involved in complex dispute resolution related to counterfeiting and unfair competition before both French court and international courts, or by means of mediation or arbitration. We also act before European Union courts (Tribunal and Court of Justice) and regularly work with customs officials to combat counterfeiting and ensure the protection of our clients’ rights.
The lawyers at FTPA are united by their common passion for law. Together they practice in different areas of law to provide concrete and creative solutions to the issues their clients are faced with. FTPA lawyers take a comprehensive approach to each client case, meaning that all the legal, financial and strategic aspects are considered from the outset in order to find the most fitting solution. Financial considerations in commercial matters we handle are always prioritized.
As an inherent part of our firm, since its creation, FTPA’s international dimension is driven by a common vision shared by all partners and members. The cultural and professional diversity of our partners and their educational backgrounds , taken as a whole, are our firm’s most valuable asset. We handle matters in France and throughout the world.
Since its inception, FTPA has been committed to various charitable and community-support initiatives. Every year the firm participates and sponsors cultural, artistic or general interest events in a variety of fields, including research, education, environment, sports, solidarity and innovation. As part of this initiative, our firm as such offers financial support and/or legal advice to various associations, such as the Curie Institute.
“FTPA’s intellectual property co-head Boriana Guimberteau represented a client in four separate trade mark infringement and unfair competition litigation cases against four different entities involving seizure operations and criminal charges, and together with corporate partner Nathalie Younan she also assisted a major global fashion retailer with a global agreement and the transfer of a competitor’s trade mark rights. “
